Helping the people who spend their lives caring for others remember to care for themselves.

If you're here, there's a good chance you're used to being the one other people depend on.

You care deeply about your work. You take pride in showing up for your patients, students, employees, clients, or family. You want to do meaningful work and do it well.

But somewhere along the way, your own health started slipping down the priority list.

You keep telling yourself you'll get back to exercising when life settles down. You'll eat better after this busy season. You'll rest after this project, this deadline, or this family obligation.

Only somehow, that moment never comes.

I understand that—not because I've lived your exact life, but because I've seen how easy it is to lose yourself when you're focused on taking care of everyone else.

My path to health coaching didn't begin with coaching.

I've spent my career helping people.

I began in healthcare, working in physical therapy, vascular medicine, and cardiology. Those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for how our daily habits influence our long-term health—and how often people wish they'd prioritized their wellbeing sooner.

Later, I transitioned into Human Resources, where I found myself helping people in a different way: navigating stress, conflict, workplace challenges, and the very real impact that work can have on our mental and emotional health.

Throughout both careers, one thing became clear:

People usually know they should take better care of themselves.

The hard part is figuring out how to make it work in real life.

Health has a way of changing your perspective.

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with a Cerebral Cavernous Malformation and underwent brain surgery.

That experience reminded me how quickly life can change and reinforced something I've carried with me ever since:

Our health isn't something to take for granted.

It isn't just about preventing illness.

It's about having the energy, strength, and capacity to fully participate in the life we've been given.

That perspective continues to shape both my life and my coaching today.

More recently, life reinforced that lesson in a different way.

Like many of the people I now coach, I found myself balancing a full-time career, becoming a new mom, building a business, and navigating significant family responsibilities.

For a long time, I believed that pushing through was simply what responsible people did.

Eventually, I realized something that has become central to my coaching philosophy:

You can care deeply about your health and still lose yourself if you spend too long putting everyone else's needs ahead of your own.

That realization didn't make me perfect.

It made me more intentional.

Today, I treat self-care as a necessity—not because life is easy, but because it helps me stay present for the people and work that matter most.

Why I created Firelight Wellness

Firelight Wellness was created for people who care deeply.

The nurses who stay late to help one more patient.

The teachers thinking about their students long after the school day ends.

The HR professionals supporting employees through difficult moments.

The therapists, social workers, nonprofit leaders, and helping professionals who spend their days carrying the concerns of others.

These are people who give so much of themselves that they often forget they deserve the same care and compassion they offer everyone else.

My mission is to help change that.

Not through perfection.

Not through extreme routines.

But through simple, sustainable habits that help you reconnect with yourself and create lasting wellbeing.

How I can help

My coaching combines evidence-based health coaching with practical strategies for nutrition, movement, stress management, sleep, mindset, nervous system regulation, and mind-body connection.

Together, we'll create a personalized plan that's realistic, flexible, and designed around your life—not someone else's.

Because I don't believe wellness should feel overwhelming.

I believe it should help you feel more capable, more grounded, and more like yourself.

What I hope you'll experience

My hope isn't that you leave our work together with a perfect morning routine or a long list of healthy habits.

My hope is that you wake up with more energy.

That you feel calmer in the middle of a busy day.

That you have more patience with the people you love.

That your health feels manageable instead of overwhelming.

That you stop wondering where the old version of yourself went.

And one day, almost without realizing it, you think:

"I finally feel like myself again."

Because that's what this work has always been about.

Ready to take the first step?

If you're ready to stop running on empty and start building a healthier, more sustainable way of living, I'd love to meet you.
